Phones 4 U End iPhone Monopoly For Carphone Warehouse

Carphone Warehouse today recieved a huge blow as rival Phones 4 U secured a deal which will see the company stocking Apples popular iPhone before Christmas.  Carphone Warehouse, up until now, have enjoyed a two year monopoly on providing the device to customers.

This deal comes a matter of days after Apple also ended their exclusive deal with telecom giant O2, who are now going to allow rivals Vodaphone and Orange sell the popular phone.

These deals will undoubtebly be better for consumers as the rivalry will no doubt involve a pricing competition war right in time for the festive season.

The announcement could be viewed as cynically timed as the iPhone has recently recieved less attention as the release of the Palm Pre device draws closer.
