The founders of popular social networking site Twitter are said to be looking at different ways to implement video tweets to complement the already present text tweets and bring the site into the 21st century.
Twitter, which as yet has failed to make a profit, has been snubbed recently by many people, including British signer Lily Allen and Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus. The founders hope that this move will improve the popularity of the website and help it become more of a competitor against some of its biggest rivals including Facebook and MySpace.
The new “video tweets” would be able to be uploaded anywhere at anytime, and even on the go, from laptops, mobile phones, digital camcorders and any device capable of recording video.
Twitter is currently valued by the market at £603 million and the founders will be hoping that this new announcement will increase that amount even further.
